Census and dogs

Thanks for all of your comments about my box and my cub situation, I really appreciate your comments on my blog!
Finished my area delivering the census forms ...yay! Went out last night (being a Sunday night) to get the last of them. Still got 10 to do as they are away until just b4 census (according to neighbours) Had an interesting night as I got abused by one guy coz Id left his forms with his neighbour (who said she would give him forms and was friendly with him). I got tipped off that he was unhappy by his sister down the road (who told me not to mention that she told me as he was a alcoholic and violent!) sheesh ...and I had to go and talk to him!!! So I told a big fat lie and said I was just coming to check that hed got his forms...issued him some more forms and calmed him down by saying I would personally be back to collect his forms (with DH in the car watching I reckon!) What a creep!
And then I go down the road and a dog has a go at me! Swung my bag at it and told it to F off! and it took off back home...then the neighbour came out and told me it was supposed to be behind a fence as they had had trouble with him b4...so the owner will be getting a visit from the dog control officer today as I am laying a complaint!
Eventful night!
Got my Brother and his horde staying at my Mums at the moment. So the kids are wrapped to have their cousins over from Tassie to play with.

and my Toblerone box that I finally finished altering...yay! Been busy with the Census delivering and just general life like fishing with my cub scout group and such!
Have finally finished this so I can submit and then I can get on with the Nephews album...just got final photos today so theres no excuse and got to get on with it! I find it hard as I dont know my Niece in law that well and need to ask lots of Qs as to her life growing up. It is also hard as I was overseas when my Nephew was growing up so have to rely on others to give me info...but luckily my Sister Andrea is all up with the play or Id be lost!
Have been beating myself up about cubs for the past 2 weeks as Jennifer has her Jazz class at 4.40 to 5.50pm .......and cubs start at 6.30pm ...15 minutes out of town...gotta get her fed in the meantime let alone me (DH and DS fend for themselves)...! MAJOR STRESS for us all! ....So this week I have made a decision to change the cub night to Wednesday to suit me...but I found it suits ALL of the parents and the other leader better and wonder why I havent been doing this for a couple of years!!! lol!Note to self ....look after me too!

knackered

Have to get up to milk the cows this morning and Im knackered! Had a busy week with training days for census and doing a growsafe certificate training day. Census starts tomorrow so lots of talking and walking here I come!
Havent done any scrapping all week but last night started on altering a toblerone box (singles) for an easter box ...might submit it for DT or publication so cant show you well maybe a sneak peek when I finish? Need to get onto Nephews album ..aargh ...time running out!
This week I have been seriously thinking of doing some more study. I have been looking at a Rural Animal Technicans Certificate ..basically a vet technician. Have been really tempted but ...hubby is also going to start studying this year (diploma agribusiness like I have already done) and I dont think we could cope both of us doing study ...so Im might leave it for a year and see. I wanted to be a vet when I was at school but went a different pathway (medical lab science). It also costs $2000 a year (2 year distance learning course) so I really have to be able to justify that at the end of the day..yes I would help our business a little bit but its really for me...to keep my mind active!
Anyway...as if I dont have enough to do!!! lol!

Yay!

After my Census training day today...I went to my ww weigh in at 5pm AND I was stoked to see that I had lost 2.3 kilos this week!!!! Im gobsmacked as I drank wine all weekend and havent done any exercise Monday-today! I am happy as today I was presented with lovely foods to eat for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and I chose wisely...no muffins or savouries for me! IT WAS HARD! But I am pleased that I was able to resist! My reward is tomorrow as I'm having a facial and my DH got me a CD player for my car for our anniversary so that is being installed tomorrow...yay!
Yesterday wasnt so good as had a flat tyre on the way to cubs so mad panic there and then this morning had to take ute to the Census and had to double clutch the gears to get into 4th gear (just as well I know how to do aye?....previous experience driving buses lol!)
looking forward to tommorrow havent scrapped all week and need to get on with it!! Too little time!

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day to my DH!
I know I have the English slang of I Love you and It should be je 'taime but DH wouldnt have known what that was so did this wording instead!
Havent got him anything as both of us on a diet. Might get him a scratchie today.

Strawberry Lo

Ooh got my copy today of Up2scrap and there it was..my first published LO! Jennifer is going to be over the moon!
I just love your cricket album Yolande...it is just stunning! Once again everyone has done a fab job with their LOs...way to go Lara!!! Love all of Evanas work and Rachel Hs! Great job! Very inspiring!
Its lunch time and already Im having a good day ...I have also recieved some goodies I ordered online...more scenic route (yay), MM stuff and Lil Davis ...I so want to go and play but dont have time this afternoon.
I have also ordering a truckload of Lollies for our annual Top School-a huge gala that has over 3000 people coming to it. I have spent over $1000 worth but it will all go..just gotta buy moro bars and lollypops and Im done... I sooooo love going into the lolly truck to find all the new things out! Sour this, sour that,sherbert, jelly frogs, nerd ropes etc, lolly bags, bubblegum powder and liquid centre bubblegum and push pops...to name a few! My kids say(and their friends) that I have the coolest job for Top school! I coordinate the icecreams and Lolly stands. I have told him not to deliver it until mid March (so I dont get tempted!)
Alright back into it...

Covering books

grr...spent time doing these LOs for Jennifers books and then went to cover them with the clear duraseal...arrgggggggh! I hate the stuff! The topic one is a real mess and the homework one didnt get covered as had to take that off and chuck it and..yep! no more duraseal in the house! So will have to do that today after school! I got so upset with the stuff that I had a tantrum and stamped up and down on the wrecked stuff...lol! My kids were most bemused until I said I wasnt doing this anymore...they can do it next year!
The tantrum also stemmed from the lack of sleep as I dont sleep well during periods of heavy rain and I have also got lots on /to organise/ to finish at the moment so my insomnia is also stemming from that! I wrote everything down last night b4 going to bed and then crashed so that is the key...get it down on paper!
It was annoying this rain as it closed the roads out of Whakatane in the weekend and as Andrea and I were going to go to Yolandes RnS, that made us cranky! But at least I did 3 LOs. 2 very plain ones here. I usually spend up to a day on a LO but I just wanted to get these ones done...no arty fartedness in sight...lol! I feel as though Im getting so way behind with my photos that I need to do some simple ones to catch up.
This week I have to get on with the wedding album...got some more info and awaiting some more photos this week.

Coasters

I made these coasters the other day ...very quick and easy to do ..was going to give them to my Mum but have decided to do some more for her and keep these ones. Need to buy more photo paper and more stuff from the bling shop at Bayfair b4 I do more.
You cant quite see that Rhys' one has a glass bottle with a little note in there about what he likes at this age. cant find a stand for Jennifers one yet..will try at the $2 shop. Am currently altering Jennifers school books when I get any spare time. Rhys just wanted his covered with The Simpsons duraseal. Might get him to do it himself this year. Both kids settled in and started most of their extra curricular activities except scouts/cubs which start next week (oh yay..not!) Have sort of worked out our programme but need some input in from other leader.
Thought I was having a minor heart attack on Tuesday as had pain in my chest but I think I just pulled a muscle when I was swimming..has been most uncomfortable for a day or so but has gone this morning. Havent swum since then..just went to gym instead.
Having meetings and training days for census next week then the following week I will be delivering so will be doing lots of talking and walking! lol!

Flyladys

I have cancelled my membership...it was driving me nuts getting all those emails the same. Yes I am still shining my sink though so at least I am doing that at least.
Today is Tuesday and I am procrasinating big time...I know I have to 1. do the accounts up for Dh.2. organise my cub calendar. 3. start tidying up the garage (its in a real bad state and can hardly fit the car in there) 4. Get on with my nephew etcs album and 5. Sort out my scrap stuff again (all over the table again) lol!
AS all I want to do today is scrapbook! (my own stuff that is!)
I did go for my swim this morning though so at least I have done that. I think I have pulled a muscle in my chest though as am rather uncomfortable this afternoon ...all the more reason to sit down and scrapbook for me...lol
It was just lovely to pack the kids off to school this morning...catch up with the Mums I hadnt seen all summer and then go in for a swm and no one was there! bliss!
Jennifers Jazz starts again tonight so the mad rush starts all over again...
Got to boot hubby out of the house b4 I can scrapbook...and have the accounts handy so I can look as though I am doing that too....

Swimming

Having a major block on another LO so have started on my nephew/fiance wedding album. I have decided it is going to have a clean lines. I havent done the journalling yet but it will be behind the layout in a pull out tag/pocket.
Finished that and still couldnt do anymore on my other LO so thought I would do this pencil case up for Jennifer to start the school year. I got the tin for $1 at whitcoulls at a sale.
My WW week is going well and am only missing the nibbles or cheese about 5pm (plus the glass of wine) so I have a plum/peach/nectarine instead and lots of glasses of water and coffee (I dont have milk or sugar in my coffee anyway). I have lost 2 kilos in 3 days and Im going yea! So what did I do after getting off the scales this morning? I ate a hot cross bun...mmmmm my favourite. Jennifer begged me honestly to buy them yesterday! So I will have probably blown alot of my points for today already!!! Not to worry Ill be good! (the hot cross buns are all finished courtesy of Jennifer). Im off to the pool again this morning on my training so I get extra points for that.
I managed to do 700m yesterday all up but with stops. I am aiming to get to 1km today and then I will start to do it without stops. I am training for a team triathlon at the end of this month. I was pleased that I seemed fit enough in my breathing but my arms were killing me!!!
So obviously my muscles need a work out too!! lol. kids were most impressed and said I was a fast swimmer...arent they sweet!

Liannes first LO challenge

Lianne has all challenged us to put on our first ever LO.
Here is my very first LO! Jennifer just loved it!
In those days I was into stickers, handwriting and provocraft paper. Now I have the new Rob and Bob paper (all my unwanted paper has gone to my DD) and have no stickers and will very rarely handwrite anything. The page kit things were a oncer and I usually made my own. But even from the start I was into buttons!!
Now I cant show you my latest LO as I have just submitted it to For Keeps (not that I will be accepted but I suppose You have to try?)
Ive been a bit slack scrapping this week..cant wait till the kids go back to school but on the other hand...I have enjoyed not having to rush around here there and everywhere! Its nice to be able to sleep in and sit at the comp until 10am if I want to!!
Ive just been accepted as a census collector again so that will keep me busy for a month and I have just signed up for WW this morning!! The census will help with the exercise program as I will be walking for a couple of hours a day. Next week I have to get into the pool as I have a team triathlon happening end of Feb (I am doing the swim only). Its only 350m in the harbour but I need to be able to do it comfortably!!
Ive also been busy doing my financial records up to date as DH is going to take over next season..yahoo! Its his thing with finance (tertiary studies in finance)so he can do it and see how hard it is to juggle! I have done it for the past 5 years so he can do it now! I only took it on in the first place as I had more time then....
